Endless Love: Day 7: Lent Journey

29 Feb

“Thank God because he’s good, because his love never quits.  Tell the world, Israel, “His love never quits.” And you, clan of Aaron, tell the world, “His love never quits.” And you who fear God, join in, “His love never quits.”

Psalm 118:1, The Message

Today’s message is simple, yet so full: God’s love is endless.  God’s love is perfect, never failing, never wavering, never ceasing; God’s love never quits.

God’s love endures forever, and He desires to lavish it on us.

How great the Father’s love for us, that He would send His only son, Jesus, to die for our sins, in our place.  God’s desire to bring us back into restored relationship with Him cost Him dearly, but He counts it as gain as we accept His grace and love.

God’s Word is filled with the promises and examples of His love; it is a love letter from His heart to ours.

What words of love do you long to hear?I feel a special calling to share the astounding love of God, restored through Christ, to all His children who are hurting, broken, longing, and seeking.

Open my lips Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise (Psalm 51:15).

God loves you, calls to you, and offers you hope and grace.  He longs to cover you in His love.  He will go before you, declaring you are His own, dearly loved.  His banner over you will be love.  He sees your secret places and calls them forth in His light and love.  He desires to set you free from bondage; to be restored as a rightful heir to all His riches.  He welcomes you home with open arms no matter how far you have roamed, no matter how far you have fallen; His love bids you come.  His love calls forth.  Will you answer?

Day 7′s Daily Step from Holly Wagner’s book, “Daily Steps for God Chicks: The 90-Day Devotional For Real Women,” asks us to respond to God’s abiding, endless love.

Tell God, out loud, what is in and on your heart.  Claim God’s love as your own, for it is a gift given freely to you, at the cost of Christ’s sacrifice.

Say this out loud:

I am loved by my Father in heaven with a love that is beyond compare.

He will never stop loving me.”

Say it and believe it.

I pray these daily moments with God are reaching and renewing your heart as much as they are mine.  Thanks for journeying with me.

I hope to see you for Day 8!

Gracefully~~Heather
